ain't life funny

Was my First day of high school,
at Weston McEwen high,
walking down senior hall,
scared to death,
that the seniors would gang up on me,
and stuff me in a locker,
today i look back and laugh,
because they never did,
ain't life funny,

Today i stand here in this home,
that i built with hands that god,
gave me,
thinking back to days gone by,
to girls i onced loved and lost,
to the girl i married in the june of 07,
i just laugh at the emotions that i had,
and say to myself ,
ain't life funny,

I was fifteen,
she was sixteen,
we thought it was love,
going to movies,
the kissing,
The hugging,
till the night,
we got into a fight,
and it fell apart,
two hearts broken,
it made me cry,
till the day when i saw her again,
she was married with two kids,
and happy,
we talk and share stories,
of a past love and loves,
between then and now,
we laughed, we lived, and said,
ain't life funny

So today i stand here,
in the footsteps of my grandfather,
in a time of a great love,
a love that lasted 70 years,
a time where care about something,
ment more then life,
and the stories last an eternity,
and all they say is,
ain't life funny,

O' the girls,
O' the memories,
O' the friends i had,
and lost in touch with,
ain't it funny
how life works,
ain't life funny,
